Our story

• Our founders were researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, where they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone.
• They met while working on Google Translate at Google and decided to build a company with the mission of making the world’s information available to everyone in their preferred language.
• Since its incorporation in March 2015, LILT has been an AI company at its core. While meeting customer demand for translation services, LILT has prioritized investments in generative Large Language Models.
